The composition of coke oven gas is shown in the table below:
Gas carbon dioxide, oxygen, hydrogen, carbon monoxide, methane, benzene, nitrogen

The amount of CO2 generated after the reaction=①+②+③+④+⑤=0.18+0.036+0.27+0.04=0.526
The amount of oxygen required for the combustion process=①+②+③+④ - ⑥=0.225+0.018+0.54+0.2735-0.004=1.0525
1. If the excess air coefficient is taken as 1.4, then the required air volume is 1.4 × 1.0525÷0.21=7.01
The amount of nitrogen contained in the incoming air=7.01 × 0.79=6.22
The remaining amount of oxygen entering the air volume=7.01 × 0.21-1.0525=0.245
The components of the flue gas generated after the combustion of coke oven gas are: CO2, O2, N2 H2O
The volume of each component is: 0.526 0.245 6.22+0.0735 1.177
Then 1m ³ The amount of flue gas generated by coke oven gas is:
6.22+0.0735+0.526+0.245+1.177=8.232m ³
2. If the excess air coefficient is taken as 1.2, then the required air volume is 1.2 × 1.0525÷0.21=6.01
The amount of nitrogen contained in the incoming air=6.014 × 0.79=4.751
The remaining oxygen entering the air volume=6.014 × 0.21-1.0525=0.2104
The components of the flue gas generated after the combustion of coke oven gas are: CO2, O2, N2
The volume of each component is: 0.526 0.2104 4.751+0.073
Then 1m ³ The amount of flue gas generated by the coke oven gas is 4.751+0.0735+0.526+0.2104=5.56m ³
